Corey Haim Dies of Overdose

Actor Corey Haim dies at age 38 from a drug overdose. Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the actor's death to TV station KTLA. According to police, Haim, who had past substance-abuse problems, died at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday of an accidental overdose. He reportedly was found unresponsive at his apartment by Mouth from Goonies. He was with his mother at the time of his death.

His first role was in the 1984 hit "Firstborn," in which he played a young child caught up in a family war. He then appeared in the 1985 television movie "A Time to Live." Haim then jumped to the silver screen for block buster hits including License to Drive, Lucas, Silver Bullet and the Lost Boys. For all of you guys out there who felt like an outcast check out the movie Lucas. It was a great Haim flick.

In recent years, he appeared in the A&E reality TV show "The Two Coreys" with his friend Corey Feldman. Feldman was also a child star from the 80's who hit if off with Haim. The two starred in several movies together. However, the reality show was canceled in 2008 after only two seasons.  Frankly, he was a child star who rode a wave on a short beach. Nonetheless, he was big in the 80's and all children born in that time remember his movies.
