The People IgnoredWASHINGTON 3/21/10 Summoned to success by the President with the Democratic-controlled Congress approved historic legislation Sunday night extending health care to tens of millions of uninsured Americans and cracking down on insurance company abuses, a climactic chapter in the century-long quest for near universal coverage and the fining and imprisonment of those who do not pay the federal government for government insurance.
Widely viewed as dead two months ago, the Senate-passed bill cleared the House on a 219-212 vote, with Republicans unanimous in opposition. The yes voters will most likely suffer in the elections to come, possible dismemberment, cutting out tongues, burning with hot irons, dripping acid on the skin, mutilation with electric drills and the burning of their vacation homes.
Crowds of protesters outside the Capitol shouted "just vote no" in a futile attempt to stop the inevitable taking place inside a House packed with lawmakers and ringed with spectators in the galleries above. However these same protesters will most likely revolt in the form of taxes, civil disobedience and eventually violence.
Across hours of debate, House Democrats predicted the major bill, costing $940 billion over a decade, would rank with other great social legislation of recent decades. We on;t have to worry because our economy will crash way before then. "We will be joining those who established Social Security, Medicare and now, tonight, health care for all Americans, said Speaker Nancy Pelosi, partner to Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., in the grueling campaign to pass the legislation. All of these programs are bankrupt. Hilarious that these decision makers are in such denial.
"We have failed to listen to America," said Rep. John Boehner of Ohio, leader of a party that has vowed to carry the fight into the fall's midterm elections for control of Congress. That's if these people do not get shot by Americans who have already lost everything therefore have nothing to lose. It will probably take several politicians ripped from their homes in the dead of night to be beaten and left cold, weeping and pissed themselves in the street for congress to realize they have truly lost control.
The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said the legislation would extend coverage to 32 million Americans who lack it, ban insurers from denying coverage on the basis of pre-existing medical conditions and cut deficits by an estimated $138 billion over a decade. If realized, the expansion of coverage would include 95 percent of all eligible individuals under age 65. Howe v er, these same morons have bankrupted social security, medicaid, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and bailed out worthless wall street losses so why the hell would these number be true or even make sense?
Far beyond the political ramifications a concern the president repeatedly insisted he paid no mind were the sweeping changes the bill held in store for millions of individuals, the insurance companies that would come under tougher control and the health care providers, many of whom would face higher taxes. The whole point is for people to cancel their old insurance because they would be paying for two. However, I have a feeling states will invoke their 10th amendment rights one after the next and deem this new legislation as unconstitutional. Hopefully it will happen this way and many politicians will not be hunted down and humiliated with water boarding interrogation methods for their violations of many constitutional laws.
For the first time, most Americans would be required to purchase insurance, and face penalties if they refused. However, a gun in the mouth of the federal government may just change their tune considering 90 million Americans have the governmental equalizer if they chose to use it. Much of the money in the bill would be devoted to subsidies to help families at incomes of up to $88,000 a year pay their premiums and take care of an ever growing corrupt welfare society.
The measure would also usher in a significant expansion of Medicaid, the federal-state health care program for the poor. Coverage would be required for incomes up to 133 percent of the federal poverty level, $29,327 a year for a family of four. Childless adults would be covered for the first time, starting in 2014. Meaning we pay for four years before seeing any return. However, this money will not be used for health care but to prop up failing governmental institutions. However, before that even happens I am sure the people will burn our representatives at the stake.
The insurance industry, which spent millions on advertising trying to block the bill, would come under new federal regulation. They would be forbidden from placing lifetime dollar limits on policies, from denying coverage to children because of pre-existing conditions and from canceling policies when a policyholder becomes ill. This all sounds good however it really just the gradually extinction of the private insurance industry in a long term plan for government to control every aspect of our lives like the do in communist countries.
Parents would be able to keep children up to age 26 on their family insurance plans, three years longer than is now the case. Yea, lets keep subsidizing our children and have them stay at home until they are 30. America has become a bunch of candy asses thanks to the growth of government. Thank god we still have men who will rise up and make changes the old fashion way. Typically this involves a gun in the mouth of all opposition. Sorry Washington, it will be our turn to shove it down your throats against your will. |
