The Truth About Healthcare Reform
What is the really real truth about health care reform in the United States today? It’s in the news 24/ 7 and it sounds like a good idea but why is is getting so much criticism? Could it be that our country is going broke and some how by mandating everyone to pay for insurance it will make our lives better? All I know is that anytime someone makes me do something against my will typically its illegal. It may sound good at the time but that doesn't make it right nor make it actually work. A real man is only expected to take care of his and his own and not not those unwilling to do the same for themselves. By going over what health care reform is, what universal care means, the deaf ears of politicians, and the guise of the benevolent intentions of our government, one will be able to grasp just why our political system is broken.
So what is health care reform and what are they wanting us to be mandated to do? Well this part is actually easy to understand because its what those who work already do anyway but with a twist. First of all, this new twist means those who already pay taxes will have to pay more. Second of all, those who already have health care insurance will be forced to also buy health insurance from the government. In addition to, those who already pay their own health care will have to pay for someone else's health care who doesn’t even work or pay taxes. Lastly, those who refuse to accept the public option will be fined and face prison time similar to the same penalties of those who do not pay income tax. That is health care reform but it sounds like what happened to Ned Beatty's character in the movie Deliverance.
If universal health care is so great then why don't our political leaders be a part of it? Our political leaders like having the best health care possible that's why. Can you have quality along with quantity as it matters to something so complicated and large as health care? No, that is why our leaders have a separate health care system, separate but equal. I mean we all will get to go to hospitals, be treated, receive medical attention just not at the same time, not with the best materials possible, not with the best doctors available but hey, our political leaders re important so why should they wait in line? I guess I wouldn't want the public option either if I could have the same health care as our political leaders as well as not, getting fined or face prison time for not going along with the public option.
Our political leaders do not listen to their constituents because common sense and rationality fall on deaf ears. That is to say, our political leaders believe that they know what is best and since they are in power they can do whatever they wish. However, people who do work, pay taxes and make their own decisions do not need any help from political leaders. Only the destitute and those wanting something for nothing depend on political leaders or government run generational entitlement. Another problem that Americans face is that our political leaders decisions do not affect their own lives just ours. When our leaders decisions fail to produce guess who suffers and guess who still gets paid? Yep, we suffer they get paid. Try having that same outcome at your own job. I guess it pays to be in politics with deaf ears.
The benevolence of our political system as well as our political leaders has nothing to do with providing health care to those in need. Sure there are people who need insurance but health care reform is more pragmatic than just the well being of those who can not and those who refuse to provide for themselves. The core of this legislation is to create a new bureaucracy for the sole purpose of propping up our failing economic system. Do you really think this health care reform is really for giving health insurance to a bunch of dead beats? It's an idealistic measure to generate new revenue to fill the coffers of our corrupt political system. The dreadful mismanagement, bad political decisions and terrible judgment is why our system is economically broken. By making the people think health care reform is for the children, for the elderly and for the destitute makes one pity the current plight and more willing to go along with this new taxation free for all.
The truth is our system is broken and the people in charge are political aristocrats who inherited the American political system. The American way of life is so lost that apathy over the years has let politicians get away with their corruption and incompetence. Again, Americans in the past have been fooled by lying politicians who claim to campaign on the same issues over and over again with no change. However, the people no longer have anything left to give or to lose so things will definitely take a very different turn for the political easy street of Washington. Regardless is this bill passes, the people by consensus do not want it. Just like the late 1760's I smell tax revolts in the near future. I hope just hope our fearless and benevolent leaders vacation homes are made of stone. |
